About Knowfive
Knowfive (知五) turns BaZi and Zi Wei into Eastern personality types, relationship notes and timing insights. Here is how we work, what we stand for and where we stop.
Who we are
Knowfive (知五) sets out to do one specific thing: translate traditional Chinese birth-chart culture into language younger readers actually understand and want to share, so you can know yourself a little better and get along with the people around you. Our line is Know your five., in Chinese 认识你的五行.
How we work
An algorithm calculates; AI explains. Four Pillars, decade cycles and Zi Wei charts come from a deterministic chart engine with a stated version. AI receives only the facts the chart produces and puts them into plain words. It cannot change a result, and it never sees your birth date, time or city.
Every line has a basis. Each statement in the product opens up to an item on the chart and is tagged with its source: chart, corpus or AI. Where schools differ, we say so openly.
Your birthday is calculated on your device. The free BaZi calculator runs in your browser and uploads nothing. If you sign in and save a profile, birth details are stored with field-level encryption, and you can export or delete them whenever you like.
What we stand for
- Rhythm, not fate. We talk about tendencies and theme strength, never good or bad, never verdicts.
- No scare tactics, no upsell. No ads, no products to buy, no live readings by a person.
- Clear limits. The product will not weigh in on health, investing, legal matters or other people’s private lives. When someone may need professional help, we point them to a professional or local support services.
- Transparent subscriptions. Cancel in one tap, a 7-day refund on your first order, and no free trial that quietly turns into a charge.
- For ages 18 and over.
Content and review
The personality profiles, rhythm copy and explainers are written by our content team in each language natively, not machine-translated. All chart rules and copy are currently marked “awaiting review by a BaZi consultant”, and we will publish method notes once that review is complete.
